TURI BEACH RESORT EAST WING
Batam, Indonesia
Project Summary
The entire Nongsa peninsula has the potential to be an integrated resort with The Turi at its center of attraction. Part of our studies have looked at the following important aspects that will integrate the entire Planning:
Zoning – there must be distinct Public, Semi-Public and Private developments within the entire Peninsula to allow customers and guests choice. The Marina is seen as the activities area and is zoned as Public, The Turi is the intermediate where a not-so-private experience can be had; while The Village, Lagoon Residences and Peak Villas are more private destinations. We do also foresee that the Commercial centre could be the Marina, providing village-like facilities for guests and soon becoming the hub of the Nongsa Peninsula.
Linkways – there must be easy access to the entire peninsula and it is important to note that we do foresee and only entirely pedestrian, or very light vehicle traffic to be made available. Heavy and polluting vehicles would not be encourages. We do recommend highly that the “missing link” between the Ferry Terminal right up to The Marina and then to Turi be the main spine of activities that would begin the entire Turi experience.
