The design task was to develop a product along the SOHO (Small Office Home Office) concept for a distinct market group made up of a much younger population, ranging from 20-30 year-old adults.

Pixel Life: While exploring the design, one concept came to our mind – Pixel Living. The very notion of pixels carries the sense of growth and opportunity. The concept eventually fused seamlessly in the planning of the units. With the development providing a wide range of unit size selection at 9 types with the smallest being 463 sqft and the biggest at 1445 sqft, it gives the end users opportunity to grow their business and living quality within the development itself.

We had to rethink the concept of public and private. Shared ways contribute to a better urban life. The design of the units has included within it a cohesive living-working furnishing and efficient space planning to allow work+live within the units. These work spaces are then transposed into larger scale in the public space, i.e. areas in Sky Lounge & other plaza areas in our attempt to convert the common space into large public living rooms.

As an extension of our ideas relating to pixels and pixlation of elements, bricks were used to illustrate the notion of micro elements built up into a larger and more wholesome whole.
