Phase 1G called Frischia in Serene Heights, Bangi had 2 major units types – standard units and double frontage units. Within these 2 major types, there are further variations, eventually topping 13 different unit types. For a phase that only contained 47 houses, this was a phase almost with entirely individual units. There was very little cookie-cutter repetition. Conceptually, we wanted to push the idea of home that every child sketches – that of the gable-ended roof. This simplification of form was coupled with the use of pastel colours on the façade, giving the entire neighbourhood a fairy-tale like quality.
