Project Summary

At Ilham Residence 3, we introduced a new product type – a hybrid of the more recognised Townhouse concept with the terrace unit type. The ‘Twinhouse’ is marketed as an landed – strata dwelling unit with two families co – living in a single lot with apartment layout, yet complemented with front and back garden features for the lower unit. Upper units enjoy the more expansive views within high ceilinged living spaces. For the Double Storey Link House (DSLH), we gave the upper bedrooms full width views and inserted a courtyard in plan in response to the rising trend of working from home. The new terrace house need to be well lit, bringing in light into almost
all parts of the house, using the brief of any modern office floorplate into the domestic unit. This was our design narrative for the concept of these homes
– Living Light.

The entire phase consists of consists of 241 unit DSLH and 62 units of the ‘Twinhouse’. Our approach reflects the changing aspirations of Gen Z and Millennial dwellers. Larger kitchens, gardening space, kitchen garden, well
– lit and ventilated rooms and mud room are some key features to address lifestyle changes of this demographic.
